Announcing Acrodea’s cutting-edge,
Cross-platform development SDK, VIVID Runtime

February 19, 2009 (Tokyo, Japan)—Acrodea, Inc. (CEO and President: Junya Tsutsumi), headquartered in Meguro-ku, Tokyo, announced its latest content cross-platform solution VIVID Runtime at the company’s private reception (Gran Hotel de La Florida) held in conjunction with the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2009 that took place from February 16-19, 2009, in Barcelona, Spain. As a mobile content cross-platform solution, VIVID Runtime enables the same application code to run on different operating systems.

VIVID Runtime provides cross-platform compatibility for content and program execution without reliance on system environments. In short, content and applications developed using the VIVID Runtime SDK can operate as the same binary code under different operating systems. Unlike virtual machines, such as Java™, this innovative solution leverages available hardware, system functions, and performance, while maintaining cross-platform compatibility. The result is enhanced development efficiency for terminals, and potentially broader content distribution. Thus, VIVID Runtime can furnish cross-platform application stores and network services.

The release of VIVID Runtime is planned for the end of February 2009.
