(President and CEO: Ryuji Yamada), headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, is now supported on the NTT DoCoMo 2009 Winter-Spring model mobile handset “docomo PRIME series N-02B” (made by NEC), released today.
The intercom link function developed jointly by Acrodea and NTT Docomo connects to supported intercom units via wireless LAN. The mobile handset can accomplish intercom functions, such as responding to visitor calls and unlocking entrances. From any location within the wireless LAN range, a resident can respond to a visitor on camera from the mobile handset screen. The system simultaneously enables convenience and security for the home through the mobile handset.
The intercom function for DoCoMo’s 2009 winter-spring model handset “docomo PRIME series N-02B” (made by NEC) developed by Acrodea enables intercom reception anywhere within wireless LAN range when connected to specially equipped intercom devices. At the same time that the intercom is called by a visitor’s press of a call button, the intercom function is automatically launched on the mobile handset, and residents can respond by voice while verifying the camera’s entrance picture in real time. The application enables entry unlocking and launches quickly for maximum user convenience. In addition to receiving visitors, the intercom function can process the arrival of deliveries and activation of alarms for mobile handset reception.
