(CEO and President: Junya Tsutsumi), headquartered in Meguro-ku, Tokyo, announced today the deployment of VIVID UI®, developed as a user interface platform for mobile terminals, and the deployment of VIVID Movie, VIVID Panorama® and Emoji Lite to the summer 2010 model handsets (referenced on the attachment) released by SoftBank Mobile Co., Ltd. (CEO and President: Masayoshi Son; “SoftBank Mobileâ€), headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo.
As of April 30, 2010, Acrodea’s VIVID UI has been implemented on 80 models for SoftBank Mobile, since implementation to the first handset model in November 2006, and among the summer 2010 models, nine have deployed VIVID UI. Acrodea’s VIVID UI supports Softbank Mobile’s service “Kisekae Arrange.†This service allows the modification of the standby screen, menu screens, battery level indicator, signal status indicator, etc., with preferred icons and graphics. Moreover, the concurrent deployment of VIVID Movie (excluding some models) enables even more attractive UI that incorporate video for Kisekae Arrange content.
Next, Acrodea’s VIVID Panorama has been adopted as a camera feature on a portion of SoftBank Mobile handset models. Users of these models can enjoy panorama photography with a very simple operation. Since the very first implementation in March 2007, VIVID Panorama has been implemented to 48 models for Softbank Mobile as of April 30, 2010. An additional eight models are implemented among the Summer 2010 models.
SoftBank Mobile’s service Raku Deco adopts Acrodea’s Emoji Lite, and supports automatic insertion of picture fonts and personalized picture fonts. Text color, size, and background color can be automatically converted, and thus anyone can easily create decorative email. Since the first implementation in February 2010, five handset models have implemented the feature as of April 30, 2010. Including the first implementation to the Samsung 840SC model, ten handset models will be implemented for summer 2010.
