November 29, 2010(Tokyo, Japan)—Acrodea, Inc. (President: Junya Tsutsumi), headquartered in Meguro-ku, Tokyo, announced today the deployment of VIVID UI®, developed as a user interface platform for mobile terminals, and the deployment of VIVID Movie and Emoji Lite® to the winter 2010-spring 2011 model handsets (referenced on Attachment) released by SoftBank Mobile Co., Ltd. (CEO and President: Masayoshi Son; “SoftBank Mobile”), headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo.
As of October 31, 2010, Acrodea’s VIVID UI has been deployed to 79 models distributed by SoftBank Mobile, since deployment to the first handset model in November 2006. Among the winter 2010-spring 2011 models, seven will deploy VIVID UI, plus two from Disney Mobile. Acrodea’s VIVID UI supports Softbank Mobile’s service “Kisekae Arrange.” This service allows the modification to the standby screen, menu screens, battery level indicator, signal status indicator, etc., of the handset with preferred icons and graphics.
SoftBank Mobile’s service Raku Deco adopts Acrodea’s Emoji Lite, and supports automatic insertion of picture fonts and personalized picture fonts. Text color, size, and background color can be automatically converted, and thus anyone can easily create decorative email. Since the first deployment to SoftBank Mobile in February 2010, 14 handset models have implemented the feature as of October 31, 2010. Ten handset models will be implemented for winter 2010-spring 2011.
